After returning home from a morning spent at the hospital I have decided to write a post updating my situation...
First of all it' s good news I'm happy to say, not only did my liver scan come back all clear ( well, as all clear for one who has cirrhosis can be lol ) & my tumor markers ( Alpha proteins ) read normal but best of all my RNA test shows HCV is still undetected :-))
I'm clear of methadone & all other drugs thankfully... My hormone levels are still up & down mainly testosterone but hopefully they should improve, time will tell I guess.
I'm now in a relationship albeit a long distance one, it's been 6 months now, she's a teacher & she knows everything about me... Who'd have thought it ! I'm happy & so is my son.
I started off writing this blog anonymously but then stepped out into the light after treatment success. I wanted to share my story so that others might find hope within it... I hope they do !!!
Remember, it was HCV treatment that helped me beat drugs, a natural progression forged within the trauma of those desperate years... From every negative comes a positive, I prey it continues.
In January 2014 it will be 6 years since my battle with HCV began, it's been a long hard road, I've lost many friends along the way & had many also beat this virus, personal friends & virtual friends here on the net, people from all over the world...
I'm so pleased to share some good news for a change, my thoughts are also with those still fighting & about to fight as always.
